This Austrian Magazine Used the Blood of HIV-Positive People to Print Its Latest Issue

What a brilliant way to raise awareness

Austrian men's magazine Vangardist did something ridiculously cool to help raise awareness about HIV (and end the stigma associated with it) for its latest issue. The mag took blood donations from three HIV-positive people and mixed it with ink to print the pages of its HIV Heroes edition. Can you say genius?! A limited number of copies (2,500, to be exact) were released earlier this month. Check out the cover below:

"Breaking the seal of the magazine is kind of breaking the stigma of HIV," said Julian Wiehl, the co-founder of Vangardist Magazine, in a video the magazine posted about the issue. "And if you hold it in your hands and you talk about it, then you are part of the cure."
