4 Liquid Cures For Everyday Ailments

1. The Second Wind

Combine: 1 oz each lemon, lime, and grapefruit juices + 1/4 oz each Thai basil tea and kaffir lime tea + honey to taste. Garnish with lemon peel. For Thai basil tea: Steep 1/4 cup Thai basil leaves in 6 oz of hot water for 15 minutes. Strain and cool. For Kaffir lime tea: Steep 4 kaffir lime leaves in 6 oz hot water for 15 minutes. Strain and cool.
Toss it back: After a long flight. The natural sugars give a quick jolt of energy.

2. The Immunity Booster

Combine: 1/2 oz honey-jalapeño syrup + 1 oz lemon juice + 1 drop ginger tea + 1/4 oz fresh ginger juice + 1 Tbsp juiced turmeric + 2 oz OJ. Garnish with jalapeno. To make the honey-jalapeño syrup: Blend 2 Tbsp each honey and water with 1/8 medium jalapeño, stem removed. For ginger tea: Steep 1/8 cup of chopped ginger in 6 oz hot water for 15 minutes. Strain and cool.
Toss it back: To ease a sniffle. The jalapeños help clear your sinuses, and OJ offers up immunity friends such as antioxidants and vitamin C.

3. The Hangover Helper

Combine: 4 1/2 oz ginger kombucha + 1 tsp lemongrass tea + 1 tsp fresh ginger juice + 2 drops Peychaud's Bitters. Garnish with ginger. For lemongrass tea: Steep 1 1/2 chopped lemongrass stalks in 6 oz hot water for 15 minutes. Strain and cool.
Toss it back: After too many block-party brewskis. Ginger helps soothe a queasy tummy.
