The Republican presidential debate was last Thursday, but it’s still making headlines, thanks in large part to Donald Trump…and his big mouth.

The quick backstory: Moderator Megyn Kelly asked Donald during the debate about sexist comments he’s made in the past—questions he called “ridiculous” and “off-base.” He went on to say on CNN that, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her…wherever,” heavily implying that Megyn was on her period.
Um...excuse us? Donald backtracked this weekend, saying that he actually meant “nose” by his comment. But we're not buying it—and we'd like Donald (and everyone else for that matter) to quit it with the old, "she was moody so she must have been on her period" trope. Periods don't work like that, Bruh!
To prove it to Trump and everyone else, here are seven women who show it's possible to menstruate and do great things, or at least be functioning members of society.
1. Create Masterpieces
“When we first started, all of the art was made in 'real time'—meaning while I was actively menstruating. ... Every pour looked different.” —Artist Jen Lewis, a self-proclaimed “menstrual designer” who uses her period blood to create stunning photos
2. Type
Dear @realDonaldTrump I'm on day 2 of my period. How am I managing to type coherently? #periodsarenotaninsult

8. Have Sex
