What Your Pee Color Says About Your Health

When was the last time you actually took a peek in the toilet before you flushed? The fact is, the color of your stream could actually tell you some really important deets about your health. Check out our guide below to see what the best course of action is for every shade of pee.

Other warning signs to look out for? Foamy bubbles can signify protein in the urine, an early sign of kidney disease. And as far as odors go, food (asparagus, garlic, coffee) and meds can temporarily make your yellow smell less mellow. But get checked out if your stench is often sweet, which can indicate diabetes, or foul (think pond scum), which may be your sole red flag for a UTI.
