When it comes to picking bridesmaids, you probably plan on including (or did include if you're already married) your sis, favorite cousin, and college BFF. But for recent Philadelphia bride Christine Quinn, it was important that one family member in particular be in her wedding party: her 89-year-old grandma, Nana Betty.
"For Christine, it was a no-brainer to have her grandmother standing beside her as a bridesmaid on her wedding day," wedding photographer Julie Melton, of Sweetwater Portraits, told PhillyMag.com. In an interview with The Huffington Post, Christine said her grandma is one of her best friends. "While she doesn’t live that close, we have continually made it a point to spend as much time together as possible," she says. "She just has an amazing sense of humor and outlook on life that I strive to emulate every day. Everyone loves her."

Christine and her hubby, Pat, got married on May 2 at the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia (you can view more photos of their wedding here). "Nana got on the party bus with the rest of the wedding party instead of 'going home to rest' but did not tell my mom (her daughter)," Christine told The Huffington Post. "She also danced the entire night away, including an adorable moment when she and my husband’s grandmother, Bellsie, danced together. It was amazing."
We kind of want Nana Betty be one of our bridesmaids now, too!
